During the third quarter of 2023, the top five maps and navigation apps on a unified platform in Qatar demonstrated diverse performance metrics. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides an insightful look into their weekly downloads and active user trends.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a varied trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 9.4K in late June and dipping to 5.2K by mid-August. However, the app saw a resurgence, peaking at approximately 7.1K downloads by the end of September. In terms of weekly active users, there was a gradual increase from 99.3K in late June to about 101.9K by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained moderate weekly download numbers, beginning with about 4.7K in late June and increasing to roughly 5.3K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed a slight decline from 201.2K in late June to 197.7K by the end of the quarter.

The Karwa Journey Planner app saw a significant spike in weekly downloads, jumping from around 4.9K in late June to an impressive 20K by the end of September. Active users also increased substantially, rising from 49.3K in late June to approximately 91K by the end of the quarter.

Phone Tracker and GPS Location displayed growth in downloads, starting at 794 in late July and peaking at 3.2K by mid-August before gradually declining to 1.5K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, growing from 771 in late July to about 5.7K by mid-September, then stabilizing around 5.3K towards the end of the quarter.

Lastly, the Karwa - Official app exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 1.7K in late June and rising to approximately 1.9K by the end of September. The app's active user count also showed a positive trend, increasing from 2.8K to about 3.1K over the same period.
